Coaching

Surrey Park Lacrosse Club is dedicated to improving the quality of coaching available at all levels.

If you are interested in becoming a coach or have previous coaching experience we are always looking for more help with junior teams and some of the senior teams.  Your offer to assist coaching a junior or senior team team is always welcome.  For more information you can simply approach any of the current coaches and they will advise you of what you can do to help.

We recommend that anyone wishing to become a coach, completes the online coaching course at the Australian Sports Commission website (ASC).  The Course is called the "Beginning coaching general principles course" and is free of charge.  You can complete the course in your own time and print off a copy of your certificate upon completion.  The Autralian Sport Commission (ASC) website has alot of very good information on coaching and has been very useful to other coaches at Surrey Park.

Lacrosse Victoria is in the process of finalising a new and improved Lacrosse specific coaching course which will be accreedited through the ASC.  Once this course is in place we hope to have all of our coaches accredited with the ASC.
